We were honored to produce an all-new trail map for Bear Valley Mountain Resort this year. We visited the resort, hiked the adjacent peaks and did our own research photography. We pored over topographic maps, historic art and aerial photos to come up with the new angles. We also had the pleasure of seeing some of the original trail maps painted by Bob Shedd and Hal Shelton.
The artwork is an acrylic painting on canvas. The painting is then scanned for the graphic design art. Vector overlays are added for the digital illustration. The ski trail map can then be digitally updated each year without disturbing the original fine art.
Reproductions of these ski trail maps are available as "Print on Demand." You can order any size from 16" x 20" to 36" x 48." The basic cost is $9 per square foot, plus shipping. Many paper stocks and mounting options are available, please ask.
